Children’s Cancer Recovery Foundation is a 501(c)3 national non-profit organization which delivers simple acts of care and kindness to children under age 18 and their families experiencing a cancer diagnosis. The Foundation focuses on improving the mental, social and emotional well-being of these families while helping to minimize the devastation that cancer can cause.
Children’s Cancer Recovery Foundation provides the following programs to children all across the United States:
Bear-Able Gifts – Created to deliver tens of thousands of gifts to children each year who are currently receiving cancer treatment. These toys are used as a distraction from the treatment, even if just for a minute, it gives them the smile they need and the chance to be a kid again. Distributed to hospitals across the country, our Bear-Able Gift Program is the largest supplier of gifts to children with cancer in North America.
Helping Hands Fund – Created to provide assistance in order to help ease the financial strain that becomes part of having a child with cancer. It is our goal to provide financial relief so that parents are able to remain where they are needed most, by their child’s side giving them the love and hope they so desperately need. All too often parents of children with cancer battle overwhelming financial burden and are forced to choose between their children and their finances. Our Helping Hands Fund was created so they no longer have to.
Camp Scholarships – This program provides financial help in sending kids in remission to camp. These children will have the opportunity to reconnect with friends and activities that they missed during treatment by selecting a camp of their choice; sports, music, art, or horseback riding.
